DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE Reviews

  • In the middle

I’m gonna be honest I did love the game but I have over all stopped going on it and by the reviews I’ve seen a lot of people have, it’s a good game very addicting but it’s very harsh when it comes to dragon stones and I like a lot of people will not pay ridiculous amounts for stones in a game I feel like they need to be more generous with in game content like it was when I first got it. Please sort this and update it to make it better and the reviews will go back up again but it was a good game and now it is just rubbish and a waste of time that needs sorting!!! Also lately it has been extremely and very buggy so if you want more people on it fix these issues !

I’ve been complaining for months now because I can’t launch my game without it crashing and not once has Bandai responded to my messages so they must be too afraid to help their community
  • Too many complainers

Too many cry babies saying this game is pay to win. With all the Christmas events on right now you can make great teams with no dragon stones. I hadn't play in 6-7 months and decided to make a full f2p no stones account and within 8 days I can already beat most of the dokkan events, some even on super difficulty, not to mention almost having lr frieza and androids already. People need to stop crying about dragon stones.
  • Very nice

I have been playing for a while now and even though the game is a giant cash grab, i love it, if you liked any of the dragon ball franchises, you would love this game, its just addicting, and i like that. However, the game is definitely not f2p as the dragon stone system is basically bandai namco saying “ money or nothing”

This is a cool game that will keep you occupied for months. Around Christmas time is the best time to download as you can get £40 worth of dragon stones right now. The LR system is very exciting it can take weeks to grind for medals even with the highest tier characters it took me 4 weeks to get my holy black to an LR and thanks to the dragon stones I got for downloading I could get him in my second multi summon My only criticism as an active player is that I want all of the Dokkan events on everyday, it would speed up gameplay and people would be more willing to use their dragon stones on stamina refills Overall a very interesting game, it never fails to excite me and a great token for any DBZ fan. I also recommend playing the Japanese version of this game as the events are months ahead. I recently got 300 dragon-stones on it (which is worth £150)
  • Absolutely awesome game!!!!!

This game is amazing and badass, great musical ideas and battle animations, a trade system would be a grand idea though, as I don't use most of my summoned cards and this is a card game. :)

Highly addictive game especially for fans of the series however the summon rates are disgusting when chasing specific characters you can litterally burn through hundreds if not a thousand stones and get nothing but non featured cards i have spent 300+ stones in the last week and half and got 2 non featured ssr after spending real money on stones you should get something to make it worth while otherwise u may aswell throw your money out the window for all u got for it, i understand its rng based but the rates should be much higher epecially if like myself your stupid enough to spend money on it, otherwise its a great nostalgic game.

No interaction with community. Servers always down. Terrible rates. This 100% made as a cash cow. Changing of banners based on profit Broken promises Look at the dokkan battle Reddit to see how angry people are.

  • Only worthwhile if you're on Japanese version

Continuously getting shafted by bandai isn't fun this game is just a giant meme now most unethical game you will ever play. I'd recommend avoiding at all costs the last celebration was a joke. Don't know how these developers sleep at night. Corrupt and evil.
  • Great potential, greater developer greed

This mobile game could have been every DBZ fan’s dream, but suffers greatly due to the greed shown by the developers. While you are not required to make In App Purchases to play, you are required to make IAP’s in order to progress in any satisfactory way and also stay ‘relevant’. This is true for many current titles, but recently Bandai/Namco have taken this to the next level by deliberately splitting rewards into two categories, forcing players to invest in two places instead of one. This is one of many things contributing to the deteriorating quality of the game. I recommend you save your time (and money) and avoid the download.
  • Avoid this game

This game has very little to offer aside from being part of the Dragon Ball franchise. The gameplay is boring and repetitive and don't be fooled by the free download because it's completely pay-to-win, if you want to have a good team you'll have to invest a significant amount of real money into this game. There is very little reward for existing players and no effort is made to improve the global version of Dokkan, it has inferior summons, celebration events and rewards when compared to the Japanese version. Servers are often unable to handle user logins and so will frequently crash, with maintenance taking several hours at a time to fix it. It's clear that this game is just another attempt by Bandai Namco to cash in on the Dragon Ball name. If you love Dragon Ball then stay away! Otherwise they'll keep putting out terrible content, knowing that we'll buy it anyway.

After 2.5 years of playing this game it saddens me to give it a 1 star rating but recent developments and decisions by the developer towards it's player base have been disgusting. Compared to the Japanese version of this game, this particular global version is treated appallingly, with lacklustre gifts, events, game modes and incentives in comparison. In 2.5 years I have seen no improvement in game play and the game has been heavily leaning on the DBZ brand in order to generate revenue. The lack of innovation is striking when compared to another mobile game in Naruto Blazing, which treats it's player base equally and also constantly adds new things. I'm done with this game. I used to spend heavily on it but haven't spend a single penny in months now. This game will slowly rot away. Save your time and money and don't download until the developers wake up and treat it's players with some respect.

I’m kinda getting sick of the constant errors in this game, for example I just spent 50 dragon stones on a multi summon and it said “connection error set back to title screen” and when I log back in I’ve lost my dragon stones, this is just outrageous.
  • All bandaids wants is your money

There is zero "pay to play" in his game ... you pay to gamble and be shafted by “campaigns” that equate to players advertising dokkan for bamco before they have a “celebration” with flat out scammy summon banners that exist to make people spend as much as they can. In the JP version bamco were caught trying to rip player off, something that probably still exists in global!

Bandai has just introduced str janemba and Int gogeta which for many was exciting including myself. After seeing what the int gogeta had, I was in for a surprise. Lots of unnecessary units which has no one uses and a complete waste of stones. I wasn’t fond of this int gogeta banner and that made me angry and many others. You’re suppose to be using the Japanese version as an aspiration, that doesn’t mean making banners way worse, if you want us to continue playing and spending, fix up your game.
  • Terrible game

Very bad summonable banners especially on the recent thank you event. Rates are also very bad so don't even think about pulling the unit you're aiming for.
