I have downloaded the app In good faith, I have upgraded to the pro version paying £6.99 only to find the Apple not work without its transmitter which costs $199. Such a shame as it appeared to be in a good app that has turned out to just conned me out of £6.99

I have a brand new 2017 smart tv, and many other wifi enabled devices in my living room, including an Amazon echo dot. I haven't paid for the app, as I wanted to see it in action first, so I used it with my Samsung UHD 8000 series tv first. Connected very easily and the phone app allowed me to navigate easily. I then paired Alexa, and I could issue commands great. Then I found all the bugs. Alexa sends commands to the phone app, but it is not received unless the app is open and on the screen (not just in the background like the app suggests should be possible). So Alexa says the command has been run, but the tv doesn't act on it unless the app is open and the phone is unlocked. Also, the app cannot wake my TV up under any circumstances! Opening the app and pressing the power button just times out after a few seconds, stating it failed to connect. I have to get my tv remote, power the tv on, then wait about a minute before the phone app can control the tv. It's a great concept, and I'd love to be able to use Alexa to control my kit, but it just doesn't work at the moment. Hopefully it will be fixed, but I'd more happily spend money on the Logitech harmony hub than the full version of this app in its current state.

I have an LG TV, a Marantz AV amp, and a Sky Q box. This only controls the LG, and even that only to minimal effect. Great idea but just not got enough devices supported. Anymote developer responded and said that the devices need to support IP control. Well obviously. And they do. Marantz amp, LG TV and Sky Q box. All of them network controllable.

Terrible product. Totally unintuitive and doesn't do what it says it can as far as I can tell.
  • Great idea but doesn't work with my tv!

Alexa skill is here in the UK and I'm loving having a play now making my smart home smarter with voice activation. A tip I found was to add a smart remote in settings with all your most used commands from all your remotes. Then ask Alexa to open AnyMote on this new smart remote. From here one word commands are then used on the smart remote you have made. Enjoy having a play. Thanks to the guys at AnyMote and Amazon UK.

Seems to work very well, no IR blaster required to control wifi devices. One device remote free else paid app required. Slightly frustrating that you must name the app " ask anymote to..." for every command.
  • Doesn't work

Won't connect to LG wifi tv as previous reviewers have found. Doesn't find tv, and "manual" button does not respond. LG TV UF770V

This is an excellent application. With AnyMote Home Device, I have it controlling my TV; Blu-ray Player, Apple TV; satellite box; fireplace and AV system; all working flawlessly. Only downside (which is it Color Tigers fault) is the AnyMote skill for Alexa is not available in the U.K. yet.
  • So much potential but doesn't work

Attempted to connect my LG smart tv but the loading wheel just spins and I'm unable to select 'Manual' up the top right. This app has so much potential especially with the support for older IR devices but can't connect to my smart tv therefore holding back on purchasing premium for now. Please update 😃

Very impressive application, certainly the best universal remote- and when paired with the hardware 'hub' & alexa, you can truly live the future!

App is poorly designed and cumbersome to navigate whilst trying to make the hardware work. Hardware works as a remote for an Apple TV but that's about it. Won't control the TV, amp or any other devices.
  • Works!
