Fit Brains Trainer Reviews

  • Enjoyable way of improving things like memory

    By Anon/anon
So far it seems pretty good at helping me to work out ways to improve my memory and speed at recognising differences in images etc etc. The one thing I'm less sure about is the emotional section of it. There is a recognise what expression game that show cards, in a small amount of time one has to check which emotion for each picture then decide, many of the pictures could represent multiple things and they are pretty vague. Plus i don't think that translates so well into real life. Not such a bother to me as it's not something I feel i need to work on, i just find it odd.
  • Good games but...

The games themselves are very good and enjoyable. The scoring system, however, is very inconsistent, almost as if they're making it up as they go along. You can go from the top 1 percent to the bottom 20 percent with very little difference in actual performance. Some games are calibrated so you get high scores easily, for other games it's impossible to get a high score. It changes like the weather! If they can fix this it would be worth 5 stars.

  • Addictive

I really enjoy this app. It makes me challenge myself to do better in each section every time. The children & grandchildren then try to beat chance 🤣
  • Overall good, but some issues with the social/emotional training

    By beckyeliza
Most games are good, and overall a beneficial, helpful package. However, I have a comment on the social awareness games, particularly those matching expressions - these are very simplistic games, and could be teaching reactions that are not necessarily helpful. I would advise this particular set of games should be looked at a bit more carefully by game designers, with input from general psych/social psych professionals (rather than behavioural psych text books only, which I suspect is the issue).

  • Loved it

There are so many of these brain trainers out there but this one is better and enjoyable. However, the game is bugged and developers should read reviews and carry out improvements
  • Good to channel the mind

    By Circus_Shuttle
I've been using Fit Brains since the start of the year, had some positive results from it, but then stopped using it because of work and life. Having come back to it now, I appreciate it more to exercise your brain in areas outside of your day to day workflow. This opens up new and better ways to tackle any situation and constructively improve yourself.
  • Great App

Continue to play this most days - still fun. Reasonably priced. Much better than Lumosity.
  • Used to be good however it is bugged

    By Verebes
On an iPhone7 the machine game the machines keep overlapping on each other. The cards game where you need to select whether the previous is the same or different is very slow the buttons are locked up for about a second.

  • Stretch the brain

    By Adammc45
Challenging and does what it says on the tin. Very good at making one think and think out of the box. It's become my morning routine to go through this. Worryingly it has also become how I set my pace for the day, depending on outcome.

    Good exercises
  • It's becoming very good and addictive....!!

    By DYE5Y
A very solid 'brain training' platform, it offers more games the further you advance, it offers harder version of games the better you become. It concentrates games on various aspects of brain functions and I genuinely feel like I've had my brain exercised in a different way from my usual daily work routine! I set the schedule to train me twice a day, morning and after lunch. I would recommend to anyone, I bought the yearly subscription and would urge you to do so if you're looking for a brain trainer, I've tried quite a few others, this is on a par if not better than Dr Brain on the Nintendo DS, or rather its a more serious about its function lending itself to being a brain exercise tool rather than a game. Well done! ⭐️
