KEY FEATURES ============================= Keep track of your baby’s mental development Learn all about the leaps and bounds and the fussy phases of your baby Read the bestselling Wonder Weeks book here in this app Take notes about a range of topics Think of it as a portable, at-a-glance version of the calendar leap chart in The Wonder Weeks. Where the book describes in-depth and easy-to-understand terms the incredible developmental changes your baby goes through, the app is the perfect leap calendar companion to track your baby’s mental development (during the first 20 months).
By knowing what is going on inside the head of your baby, you can help him to make the leap more easily and stimulate his development. The Wonder Weeks app helps new parents by:
 - Calendar Showing when your baby makes a leap in his mental development
 - What your baby can understand & learn after this mental leap
 - What your baby can do after this leap
 - What you can do to help your baby
This app is also a handy reminder for new parents when their baby’s brain is changing, or “leaping,” the baby is making a significant advance in mental development, and with each step forward comes a drastic change in the way your baby sees the world around him. Because these leaps come so quickly, the “new world” and new abilities can sometimes be scary, and the development can initially manifest in poor sleep, bad appetite, crying, clinging and crankiness – exhausting and frustrating mom and dad.
International experts on The Wonder Weeks:
“This is a very practical and entertaining window into the baby’s first year and a half. van de Rijt and Plooij have observed and found the vulnerable times in an infant’s development that I independently came to in my book Touchpoints (Perseus Books Group). The authors’ observations and practical suggestions are wonderful.”
-T. Berry Brazelton, M.D., professor emeritus, Harvard Medical School
"Anyone who deals with infants and young children will want to read The Wonder Weeks. This book will open parents' eyes to aspects of their children's growth, development, changing behavior, and emotional responsiveness that they might otherwise not notice or find puzzling and distressing."
-Catherine Snow, Ph.D., Shattuck Professor of Education, Harvard Graduate School of Education

The Wonder Weeks Reviews

  • Disappointing age limit

    By Angie1106
Very disappointed that the 20 month age limit on this was not made clearer. £1.99 down the drain because my daughter has "passed the 10th leap" and therefore not within the app limits. Ergo now there are no problems?? Had that been cleared I would not have wasted my money as my daughter is 21 months.
  • Essential for every parent

    By Sithbec
I cannot recommend this app highly enough. We have used it since our daughter was born and she is now nearly 1. It's been invaluable! What makes it different is that it's based on due date so takes account of early and late births. It will tell you what your baby is learning and how much they understand of the world around them. This is essential as it accurately predicts periods of crankiness and clinging. Of course you can't change this but it means you can plan for it and give your baby some extra benefit of the doubt at that time. It's also great to know that there is an end to the current phase which can really stop you going crazy 😄
  • So accurate and must have app

    By DLC631
So accurate and I find it so useful in understanding my babies behaviours, helps to know why she's grumpy etc!!!
  • Amazing and so helpful

    By Stephaniedannn
I recommend this to every parent with a baby it is so lovely to know what your baby is going through - how the world seems from his perspective and what skills he is capable of or is going to pick up. For us it worked like clock work using his due date.
  • Very accurate once you've understood the principles

    By Melissal48
At first, I wasn't sure about this app because he leap dates didn't seem to match up. However, I worked out that it was very accurate if I took into consideration my child's DUE DATE as opposed to his birth date (he was born 2 weeks early). As soon as I figured that out, this app was a godsend! We even planned holidays around it and it worked out perfect. It doesn't give you solutions when your baby cries instantly for days but it helps you understand why and allows you to keep a bit of sanity knowing that it is just a phase. Love it, downloaded it again as I'm expecting baby #2
  • Innaccurate and Unhelpful

    By Sophietyra
I would defiantly not recommend this app, I downloaded it after hearing a lot of mums discussing 'leaps' and was curious to find out what it was about, i did not find the timing to be accurate at all, the app was telling me my baby was going to master skills that she had already had for weeks and that she would be going through fussy periods when she was completely fine. Biggest waste of money
  • Keeps crashing!

    By joloedinb87
A good app but forever crashing my phone. This version and many before
  • Brilliant

I find this very useful to understand the changes my baby is going through. The info is great and helps you see things from your baby's point of view.
  • Dissapointed

    By Newbie00783
I am very disappointed in this app. I am really interested to learn about Wonder Weeks after hearing a lot of people talking about it and saying how accurate it is. The app offers a very limited summary for each leap (often repetitive), which I could have found via searching on the net for free. To get more in depth info you have to pay an additional amount (99p per chapter). The app is well laid out and could be great if access was allowed to the full information so you can fully understand the leaps. As it stands not really sure why I have paid £1.99 for this and wouldn't have bothered had I have known.
  • Don't waste your time.

    By cjh841984
It is written in such a way that you cannot connect to it at all. It is very repetitive of non useful phrases and information. Not gained anything from it whatsoever. Deleted.
  • Must have app!

    By RubyJewel
This app has consistently been spot on and given us good warning for when our son has entered a "leap". Great ideas of how to interact with the baby's learning and engage with their development. Has helped me have more patience with him in grizzly spells as I've understood the reason behind it. Very easy to use and navigate. A must have for all new parents!
  • Great

I found this app to be great and really useful. Scarily my daughter hit every leap when it said. Gives some really good info and insight
  • Saved my sanity at times

    By Blondeness & Light
Found it very accurate and helped me to understand why I found parenting much harder at some times than others.
  • Love it!

    By icklecutie7
Great for tracking their progress and it really helped put my mind at ease when my baby changed overnight. It helped me to understand why she behaved the way she did and also gives me an idea of what she should be doing and when. Couldn't live without!!
  • Fantastic, insightful.

    By Chasimmo
Love this app. I was recommended it by a Mum friend when my baby was a few weeks old. It's been super helpful at putting my mind at ease and helping me understand why, for what appears to be no apparent reason, babies suddenly become unsettled, fussy and totally different to what you've gotten used to. Understanding a little about what's going on inside their brains, the massive changes they experience really helps keep me calm, when my baby is suddenly unsettled. It's great to know there's a reason, it's not anything I've done wrong, and it will pass - and, once it passes they will have mastered new skills. The app also suggests ways to help them along with this learning. I'm also reading the book too.
  • Brilliant app and really helpful

    By Blondiemcsmilie
Really easy to use, helpful information, options to purchase extra reading in app or to download the book.
  • Great app!

    By Hollyemma85
Helpful to know when the "bad" weeks are so you know there's a light at the end of the tunnel!
  • Crash crash crash

    By lubidog
This is just badly coded. Sloppy. There is no reason why this simple app should crash so badly. There's nothing clever in the build. It's a simple reference app. The content is fine, but it's been ages since I've got it to run. It just crashes constantly. Avoid until they sort it out.
  • Crashes!

    By GemskiB
Below was pre update (start of Feb '17) but still seeing the same issues despite bugs apparently being fixed. As others have said, normally great but since last update I can barely get it to open without crashing. Frustrating for a paid app especially seeing as it shouldn't be so difficult for this app to function. Disappointed that there is no new update in sight to fix this. I would say the content is amazing (it is) but I really don't get to see it that often.
  • Fascinating

    Genuinely interesting and useful app
