BBC Countryfile Magazine Reviews

  • Rubbish

    By Togkim
This is absolute rubbish. Yet again a magazine app has taken my money but refuses to supply the magazines. I signed up for a subscription for the Countryfile magazine and all I get is a long download that eventually abandons all pretence at delivery and just sends me back to the iPad home page. Deleting the app and reinstalling made no difference. Another load of money thieved.
  • Excellent mag for nature lovers

    By The Coddiwompler
Some lovely surprise articles, an abiding love of our countryside and wildlife conservation running as a theme throughout. A very enjoyable read.
  • App won't open

    By Gotatwai
Since subscribing a few days ago, the app won't open on my iPad Air 64 Gb. I enjoyed the first two free issues, and started to read the May 2017 issue, but now the App just shows the red opening flash screen with an endless timer spinning....very disappointing UPDATE The App now opens, but sometimes takes a while to do so. At times, the only way to get past the opening splash screen is to rotate the iPad from portrait to landscape mode.

    App works seamlessly. Very impressed.
  • Great app

    By frinkey
Really enjoying this app. I love nature and always try to watch the programme. This app supplements the programme and also has some great articles to read at leisure. Definitely worth the subscription with the 2 free initial issues.
  • A great magazine

    By fsdafhh
This accompanies the television programme really well. The programme gets you interested but the magazine allows you to read in your own time in a little more detail.

  • A Magazine to relax with

    By JanePhill
My only wish is that the on-line magazine arrived on the 1st of every month instead of at the beginning of the month before. I have great problems resisting the temptation to sneak a look at my favourite magazine before it's due date. I love the photographs, the articles and the ideas for wild life holidays.
  • Easy to use

Great app and easy to use, read and jump to any part of the magazine you require. Great quality readable text.

  • Rubbish

Pampering to the pro blood sport upper class twits. Too much advertising, especially under the BBC guise. Waste of money

Having previously downloaded Countryfile as an add on to my paper subscription, and having now taken out an ITunes sub, I find it won't download. I'm pleased I only subscribed for one month. I have uninstalled to Cloud and reinstalled, losing all my old copies (paper copies having been recycled) and the trial copy still won't download. VERY DISAPPOINTING
  • Good but...

    By Mapreader26
I am p,eased there is a digital version of the magazine which I have read for years in the paper version. However very disappointed that my paper subscription does not give me access to it! It would have been ideal for journeys and holidays if that were possible :-(
  • Slow and heavy

    By re66
Uses a lot of memory -200mb per mag, so make sure you delete them Very slow to download & process even on 20mbps broadband
  • Free? - not

    By Dryw
