I love the way your feedback gives weaknesses and strengths. However I have done it with a number of children who are struggling. While I find it really helpful to know what they are weak in. If they are weak in everything it is discouraging for them to read it after successfully completing the 6 tasks. It would be more sensitive to give them scores / coins / strengths etc but only to spell out the weaknesses in the subsequent email. Keep up the great work Nessy.
  • A well thought through, fun app.

I love this app. My 6 year old daughter is currently being assessed for dyslexia at school. She loves the challenges and the format of the games. I love that I can get a little insight into her specific strengths and weaknesses. I enjoyed doing it myself! Highly recommended.
  • Good but needs improvement

An interesting test, although the aspect ratio of the game doesn't fit my 4s screen, so I can't play it fully. Update please

I am a dyslexia teacher. This app is almost brilliant - it helps working memory and processing, so often ignored by other dyslexia programmes. But there is no facility to sign in more than one person at a time, so it's use for groups or families is limited.

I was really wondering to get this app or not because of the price! I am 19 years old and I found out I was dyslexic in 2010... And this has told me some weaknesses I have in my dyslexia! Would really appeal to children as because of the games and yeti mountain! The thing I do like is that if you do something wrong it doesn't discourage you and make you think you are silly! More of these please! Maybe put some more games and put an adult age range 20+ maybe?! Different things to unlock would make it even better!

Easy to use, fun and challenging. As a teacher of young adults with a variety of difficulties I have found it invaluable. My daughters and grandson (6) all love it too. You also get feedback which can be a good way to increase self awareness and lead to positive discussion.

This and all the apps from Nessy are a revelation. I tried the app myself before asking children to try it. As Senco of a primary school, I am constantly on the lookout for new ways to support children, and with the iPad generation on us I wanted to find apps that children would find fun, accessible and supportive. Dyslexia challenge is all of these and more. The results give feedback of each section such as auditory memory which is really useful for staff working with the children. More from Nessy please!!

This is an excellent app with good feedback. As a psychologist I am impressed.

App format is brilliant but there is a bug in the sound and you can't hear the questions which therefore gives distorted results. Please fix.

I'm 11 and I find this game very useful. It has helped me a lot, with my memory and other subjects I have difficulty with. Great game.
  • Brilliant!!

A brilliant app for using with children that have memory difficulties. The only negative is that it is a single user, it would be great if you could use it with more than one person without deleting the data.
  • I love this

This is a great app I tried it on my own children and have then used it in school. It is fascinating to observe children's approaches to each task as you can learn a lot about their learning style. More like this please!

Great app both my kids love this (1 dyslexic and 1 not). Not sure about some of the scoring though, both me and my son got a high score on phonics which then said we would be great at spelling, some thing were aren't! A great practice/learning tool. Could do with a lot more challenges though especially for practice.

This app is one of the best I have found! Superb value for money. Extremely helpful app support. I look forward to more fab apps in the future. Keep up the good work - our classrooms need you.

Brilliant app! Visually alluring. Sounds are awesome. Children love it. I've been using it as verbal and non verbal reasoning practice for my class in preparation for their 7+ exams. Perhaps a version without the dyslexia title would work well for children focusing on problem solving? Also the same challenge had the same questions when attempting a second time. Maybe a mix up of questions? But overall I love it. From Mr Thorne Does Phonics :).
