  • PLEASE FIX CASTING TO CHROMECAST!

    3
    By cparlam
The iOS app itself is quite good, content is great (albeit a bit outdated in some cases), I use it quite a lot on my commutes. There are only two things nagging me... video resolution on my iPhone X is disappointing... and most of all, casting to Chromecast enabled TVs is a massive pain, it just doesn’t work most of the time, you have to be constantly connecting/disconnecting and there is no continuous playback of consecutive videos. Also, why is it not possible to cast downloaded content?? It doesn’t make any sense.
  • Keeps Crashing

I love PluralSight on my Mac! It’s great! I’m learning so much. But this app? I can’t even stay in the app for longer than, 2-3 seconds. I open the app, start looking through my courses and... crashed. I’m very surprised that a company that is oriented by coding and technology would even let this happen. Get this fixed.

Love the new app and the content!
  • Pluralsight ís great but let down by the app

I’m a power user of Pluralsight and enjoy the courses tremendously. The app however isn’t fitting to the very high standards and quality of the courses sadly. The download functionality sometimes works for a bit then goes to sleep and no way to give it a nudge to carry on. Even after having managed to download a few full courses, all just vanished a few weeks later. The UI is temperamental but generally usable. Comes on guys, don’t let a badly written app ruin the otherwise fantastic experience of the courses - it’s not fair to the authors!
  • Great courses very poor App

First off this review reflects the App and not the content. The courses are fantastic! The App is terrible with so many bugs! It really is a massive shame this is so poor and not sure why so? It's pretty much hit and miss on whether it works or not. Sometimes it crashes like today as it will only play in portrait and as soon as you turn the device BOOM it shuts down. Randomly tells me it needs a WiFi connection to stream although I have one. Audio still plays when you leave the App. Sometimes it only plays audio with no images! And the list goes on. Not sure why so poor and none of this App is ground breaking stuff. Keep up the great work with the courses they are brilliant but guys in the App team hang your heads in shame!
  • Crash! Now useless app

Since the last update it literally just crashes on startup every time now so totally useless. Shame cause the content itself was good
  • Getting worse

This update removed all my progress (again!). For the price of the subscription you guys could maybe start to hire some QA engineers
  • Awful app

What a ridiculously bad app... Udemy is so much better. You can't see courses you've started or bookmarked, and you can't save courses for offline viewing. Rather pointless really...
  • Pretty good!

This is great! My only qualm is that I can't seem to be able to find the notes for my account when logged in. As someone who takes (probably excessive) notes and compiles quick references to use in my day to day role, it would be great to be able to access these through the mobile app.
  • A truly awful app

Pluralsight as a resource is second to none, which is why it is such a shame that the experience of using it on iOS is so poor. The laggy UI is so bad as to almost deem it unusable, sometimes taking 5 or more seconds to respond after an interaction. This is especially bad after while downloading a course for offline viewing, where the app just locks up for a time. Tested on both an iPad Air and iPhone 7 plus. It may be wise for Pluralsight to point out a course or two to whoever they got to code this app.
  • Terrible App

Search returns almost nothing, and yet the website works fine. No 'paths' like on the website. Navigation is almost painful. Perhaps watch some of your own videos and learn how to make an app?
  • Shockingly bad

Continual crashes even the latest version make it nearly unusable even on downloaded content. How can you continually make this app worse.
  • the App steadily improves but v2.24 trashes your downloads

    2
    By WhiteDwarf
Well in fairness the app has been steadily getting better but...I don't think there is any excuse for a new version (v2.24) trashes all your existing downloads. There's no warning in the release notes. What makes it worse is the appalling performance of downloads. I don't know what infrastructure they've got behind this App but their download performance is amongst the worst I encounter - I have 65mbit broadband...with this app it feels like I've got 2-8mbit. Sort it out guys!
  • Online website is great, app very disappointing

Love the videos and training with plural sight but the app is hopeless at the moment sadly. Won't play any videos on my iPad Air on the latest version of iOS. Get an error message that says videos have expired. When I login to the website the videos play fine. Just seems to be an issue with the app. Really hope they get I fixed soon as the videos are second to none.
  • Great service poor app

The service offered by Pluralsight is great and the app really looks the part and has everything you need but half the time I can't get the videos to play even though I'm on wifi. Sometimes I can hear the audio but no video. Takes ages to load when it does load. Such a shame the app isn't reliable
  • Terrible mobile app

Unbearable to use. Always in a constant state of buffer and forever to download. The website does not give me this experience. I don't want to have to get my laptop out every time I want to watch a video on the go. Come on team get this right!!
  • Great App

Overall great app. Pluralsight is the first one out with great tutorials on the latest software.
  • Frustrating

    By Gouarfipad
They keep adding useless features but the simple ones are still not implemented: - it doesn't keep track of your progress inside a video (if the app is unloaded). - if you play the course sometimes offline, and sometimes online, it just completely lose your track. Then you have to go through each video to see if you've seen it already!. When I look at my history, I've only completed 20% of each course. Seriously
  • Brilliantly convenient

    By GrandMasterBash
Nicely laid out, can carry on going through videos from where you left off on the PC. Required video controls all present and correct (1.5x mode!). If you're not studying, you're fading.
  • Very good
