I didn’t take it further than signing in. That was enough for me..
Absolutely not interested in opening a LinkedIn account, to access Lynda.com. Change of ownership hin oder hier.
Yes, I know how easy it is to open an account with email, via the website. How many do not? Nothing more than baiting...
No better than the banks.
I do not do business with such companies.
As I am using Lynda only on iPad, I don't think I will continue using it since, despite having a good interface connection, the application always hangs on loading videos for ages and in many instances it won't load it at all. Nothing seems to work. And since there are many other learning platforms, it's easy to switch to one, which has working iOS app. I am very disappointed after using Lynda pretty much from their early start. 😞😞😞
I am not new to Lynda First ever video I watched was about 10 years ago to learn flash animation.
I recently started using to brush up on writing skills, only to realise it has improved so much and now offers tutorials on wide of skills.
In short I absolutely enjoy every minute spent on it watching all different sort of videos
Most of the courses available with good explanation suitable for beginners to advanced. Practice work to improve the learning and hands on work to check the own understanding.
Lynda.com has courses for a wide variety of modern day needs. I use mainly for photography and editing tutorials. Courses are designed for all levels of expertise. Very happy with the app which works well.
Awesome all rounder
I used KelbyOne for Photography but, their app is terrible. Jumping to Lynda gave me many other options in terms of training as well, great app and collection!
Everything in one
I love the app. It offers so many courses, ranging from design, to software, to photography and much more.
Rewind button is a pain
When you are learning stuff, you often want to skip back a few seconds.
On lynda ipad app you have to click once and wait for controls to show up, then find the tiniest rewind button on the screen, then hope you hit it properly. And if you go back too far after hitting it a few times, there is no fast forward.
Youtube ipad app is way better. You tap twice anywhere on left side of screen to rewind 10s, and tap twice anywhere on right side of screen to fast forward. I use it all the time on youtube, i find myself hating the lynda.com app every time i have to use the rewind fn.
That said, lynda subscription is well worth the money, ive been subscribing for four years and always find something new to learn.
Great content, buggy app
I use this app a lot on Apple TV and it has to be restarted several times a week. It's difficult to navigate, and to find content unless it's presented on the front page. The 'new courses' playlists often don't work, or display the wrong category.
Many of the courses don't play, particularly the more recent ones, which randomly stop halfway through a video. For example the Swift for new programmers course - I can't get through the video on variables as it just freezes.
It's clear no one at Lynda is using the app - it's been left to fester.
Note - most of the courses are great. But this app ruins the experience. It needs a major overhaul.
Lynda is great! App needs honing...

The app is laid out well and has no major interface bugs when it comes to selecting a course. However, when I listen to a lesson at 1.5x or 2x speed with the subtitles on, the sound always steps out of sync with the subtitles.
It would be helpful if I could view the transcription in portrait mode also.
Buggy, glitchy and awful
An exceptionally buggy app that prevents serious study. Audio glitches and audio track confusion when skipping lessons are the biggest problems.
Unable to login via LinkedIn
As a premium member of LinkedIn I can access Lynda from the website but it says my membership is not active via the app. Very disappointing.

It's about time an app was released for Fire TV. I want to watch Lynda on my TV.
My go to learning resource
I have been using this remarkable online training resource for many, many years. It has proved invaluable and suits my style of learning completely. The ability to watch and then download the exercise file and follow the course along, I find perfect for my needs. Whilst I still do purchase training books, I would not now be without my annual subscription to Lynda.com. It is top of the list for my annual subscription renewals.

Lynda.com has a wealth of content, tailored to all skill levels and experience. Recently, I decided to get back into photography and found a number of courses suited to my ability. In particular, the courses by Justin Reznick and Ben Long are fantastic. I highly recommend signing up to Lynda.com if you're keen to learn new skills and gain an edge in your industry.
For those who love learning

I love the website. The mobile Apps are just as good & always improving. Also works great on Apple TV.
PiP on iPad mini 4 and Downloads are great features. Highly recommended.
Really love using Lynda. I have learnt a lot. The only problem is the app crashes a lot and sometimes it doesn't work at all.
I have used Lynda.com courses for both personal and business related subjects. I generally view them on my iPad without any download/latency issues. The courses are superbly presented by leading specialists and gurus. I particularly like the "sound bite" approach of the short videos covering topic areas within each course; which supports greater listening flexibility and improved concentration. Everyday more courses appear to be added so I am looking forward to more learning!
Really enjoy it.
