I prefer outdoor running and use the boring treadmill in Winter. The app however now makes the treadmill less boring with the prompts/updates. Thanks

does not warn users that watch app will disappear if you update and stay on iOS10 and watchOS 3. Loads of issues with iOS11 there not updating until it is stable which means runtastic cannot be used with apple watch therefore moving to another app update - watch app does not work with training plan, pointless!!! Developers why give all the options in the phone app and then release a useless watch app??!??!! why even make it standalone, there are better watch apps out there, e.g. strava, nike, runkeeper, endomomdo. once my premium subscription is up I will not be renewing. Update - glad to hear the connected app will be coming back, will wait and see if it is working as normal when released. on another note, new update adds a bar at the bottom for menu, looks nice but have now removed the info when using plans. It use to show what intervals and live progress when doing a plan routine it is now missing since the menu change. Please bring this back
  • Awful, lost me to Strava

Seriously! Used your app for 3 years, and ok the odd ad popped up when using the free version, but really this update has made this app unusable due to the amount of free ads. Everytime you want to do something, ad, when you want to look at a run, ad. Kind of bullying customers who use the free version to pay monthly for the app, bad marketing ploy. Maybe serious runners will pay, but for those who just want to track their run and record it, you have pushed them away. Was an excellent app, now just pure rubbish with nothing but ads!
  • Too many adverts

I’ve paid for the pro version of the app, and still I get adverts on the main screen that I don’t want to see. I accept that free apps need to have adverts, but I don’t think there should be unwanted adverts on apps that have been purchased.

I use the free app for about 3 years now and it slowly getting worse. Stopped giving each mile alerts.

Too many pop up. It’s distgusting. And the no free version is ridiculously expensive. And finally the app consumes a lor of battery. Not worth

I downloaded the app and have been charged £41.99, I assume this is an error, I would never download an app at this cost, can you help please
  • Unacceptable ad spamming

I object to constantly being spammed with pop-up adverts, even after having paid for the app! Also, poor integration with Apple Health: it won’t upload data from manually input sessions. Just not good enough, I’m afraid.
  • Training programmes not what I thought

I wanted some training plans ie couch 2 5k,10K and with interval training plan. However after being ripped off of £30 I found the plans are just jog slowly for 3miles then ran fast for 3 miles as a beginner it’s not what I expected I was hoping to build up stamina not run run run. And I thought it said £2.99. For up grading be warned £30 is a waste of money for this app.

Started a run today and first time using Runtastic. The app recorded the time but not the miles! So I reverted back to the workout standard app and all was fine. I won’t be using this again.

Why why why replace a perfectly fantastic app for a standalone app which is practically useless. Unbelievable decision from what used to be a market leader. I’m off

App has improved over time. However, last update has stopped it syncing with Apple Watch and more important my Wahoo HR monitor. Please sort quickly!!
  • Watch app needs work

The Watch app has crashed and got stuck a few times for me. This week I lost data for half of a run due to a crash and had to restart the app. Music integration on the Watch app with a voiceover would be a tremendous addition if they can fix the bugs. I like the iPhone app, but there’s a lack of strategy - do I use this app for all my workouts, or do I download the individual apps? Seems a bit confused.

Being told how far you have ran at intervals is a pretty basic feature not one you should have to pay for!
  • Not syncing with watch anymore?

Since the latest update I can no longer use my Apple Watch as a heart rate monitor. I used to start my training runs on my phone and my watch would automatically mirror the run and track my heart rate, this feature seems to have gone missing now. Is it coming back? Edit: after reading through the support articles it seems that the Apple Watch will no longer mirror your phone activity meaning no more heart rate info for your training plan runs from the watch, especially since the new ‘wonderful’ standalone watch app doesn’t support training plans.

Paid for a year, which was worth it. The workout reminders are effective. I like the variety of workouts as it keeps it interesting. You can always bolt on extras if you’re in the mood. I’d like the workouts to estimate calories burned like it does with the running app as I’m using the calorie counter to track ins and outs. So apart from better syncing between related apps it’s working a treat!
  • GPS not recording correctly

Ran one of my usual 5km runs and found 1km markers coming in odd places and my pace sounding too fast. On review of the route found that Gps had recorded me running in places I had not. My 5km route logged as 6.5km! This is the first time I have had this and it has only happened since the last update.

Transfer from Micoach and still missing some features from that, but I like the gentle encouragement and the day it recommended I have chocolate as a post run snack was my favourite.
