  • Nice interface but still some features are missing

In general this is great app with simple and pleasing interface. Integration with Health app is great however there are some features missing like habits tracking smoking/alcohol, vitamins tracking and reminder this way it would be more complete. I haven’t found a premium subscription useful and I don’t see much difference between free and paid version diets option is quite limited too. Also there is one annoying bug, you can’t update reminders time, it simply doesn’t save and resets to default which is quite annoying.

The Premium is a little too expensive other than that it's great.
  • Don't use if you have an Apple Watch

As an update to this, all these months on that they’ve still not solved this problem. The app thinks I’m burning way more calories than I actually am, as it imports from Apple Health the calories I’ve burned, PLUS the calories my Apple Watch thinks I’ve burned, which is already part of the value provided by Apple Health. I can’t be the only one experiencing this? ———— The app double counts the calories you burn as measured by the Apple Watch. The previous version double counted your exercise (adding both exercise and active calories together). This version is even worse - adding exercise, active and walking calories together. If you want an accurate record of calories burned, as recorded in the Health app, you need to go into Lifesum and manually delete the double-counted entries.
  • Improvements still neeeded

Overall quite a good app however I am unable to amend my goal weight from what I originally put in and the scroll menu won’t disappear. Also would be better if there were more nutrient options available like salt content
  • Barcodes are outdated. Scanner needs AI.

The app itself is ok. It's core functionality relies on matching nutritional data from food. The current method consistently finds foods that haven't been recorded correctly. Most users (myself included) don't have the time or patience to input everything. I would like to see the scanner be able take a photo of the list of ingredients/ nutrition data on a packet of food - and record this data. I guess (hope) this is possible with AI that can recognise and record unstructured data..?!
  • Can't tell the time.

I'm diabetic. I need to log my food so I know how much sugar I've consumed AND WHEN I eat it. This app uses standardised times. If I put in food for breakfast, it shows up at 8am. It doesn't matter when I eat. If I enter food for dinner, it shows at 8pm. It doesn't matter if I start my day late but want to log breakfast, lunch and dinner when they ACTUALLY happen. I will not use this app until it's fixed and I'll be cancelling my subscription. This is not what I paid for. It should log food when you enter it...or at least give the option of putting the correct time for when it was eaten. STANDARD TIMES ARE THE WORK OF LAZY PROGRAMMERS OR STUPID DESIGNERS. WHICH IS IT?
  • Love the app

It’s very good for tracking food. Only down full not tracking my steps for the day even when I sync my Fitbit on here and Fitbit app

I love the app but so many of us can't afford the premium and it would be great if it were cheaper or if the non-premium had more features
  • Really good

Downgrading from 5 to 4 stars. App looks great and plenty of functionality. I’m a paying user so get all functionality. The last few releases have become buggy. App freezes for no apparent reason and needs to be closed. Trying to reset meal notification times simply doesn’t work. Reset notification reminder time, exit and then check times and they go back to defaults or in some instances get switched off. Removed and reinstalled app but still same behaviour that is identical on iOS 10 or 11. The above bugs are so obvious there’s clearly a lack of testing. I hope these unstable releases are not going to become a common theme as the app really did hit a new high in excellence.

  • Absolutely amazing app that helps you track you intake as well as exercise

I absolutely love this app. It helps you track your calories intake, dividing it into meals, tracks exercise, amount of water that you rink and fruit, veg and fish counter to keep you healthy. Love all the little reminders that you get if you have not eaten for some time, reminds about water as well. It then combines all this info with your step counter and gives you daily summary of what you consumed and what you have burned. It is suitable for people who want to lose weight, gain it or just stay healthy. Thank you Lifesum for making it easier for me
  • Great but inaccurate

Love using Lifesum as a food diary, to keep track of my meals and exercise to try and loose weight. However, I often find the data is incorrect (when I compare how many calories the app says vs the packet). I also find it doesn't have many options for logging exercise :( Other than that, I love it and am always using it to keep track of things :)
  • I lost 12kg in 13 months! Lifesum has changed my life

Been using it for a while now, I love the interface and the way this app is constructed. I was able to scan the produce for nutrition info before I buy them, search for different packed lunch to make a healthier choice. All of these little decisions added up to the 12kg that I lost. Now I feel happier and healthier than ever, and finally taken control over my body and lifestyle. And that's the best part about this app, it takes time to change, with the tools and knowledge of Lifesum, the journey became less difficult and I was not on my own. Massive thank you to the development and research team behind Lifesum, this app has literally changed my life.

Whether you are looking to gain, loose or maintain weight- LifeSum is the app for you! Regardless of whether you pay or not this app is so amazing for tracking not only your calorie intake but your nutrient intake. Plus I can use it to track my fruit, vegetable and water intake, all in the same place. In summary, this app is awesome for everyone and anyone- I've already recommended it to all of my friends and family.
  • Better than MFP!!! Love it

Much prefer this to My Fotness Pal, it's cute, Cerberus around health & not weight loss. Biggest best thing is lack of forced social media network garbage!
