Mocha VNC Reviews

  • Doesn't work since update

    Doesn't work since update
  • Amazing app - still actively supported

    By Furrdogz
I have been using this app since my first iPhone. I just opened it today again and it works absolutely perfectly and the author has even done his own review of third party servers for win10! So you know which will be compatible. Thats an example of how he continues to go beyond what normal app developers do / 'need to do'. Very happy to have purchased it.
  • Does exactly what I need.

    By AndrewHipperson
The title says it all: I wanted an ad-free and effective VNC client. This fits the bill nicely with very acceptable performance on iPhone and iPad even to iMac Retina.
  • Good but slow

    By GillysHere
All works good but unfortunately it is extremely slow to work with over 3G or Wi-Fi makes no difference. I have moved to TeamViewer which is fast to do tasks which is what I need
  • Over 3G or edge working perfectly

    By Harsh187
Hi just updating my old post, users who would like to use this app over the 3G network, would first need to find the output ip of your router( google 'vnc test') next thing you need to find a way to edit your router and make it accept incoming on port 5900, as most routers will block this for security. Once this done, should be full steam ahead, This issue is not the apps faults, it's to do with the security of wifi routers
  • Mocha VNC for Mac

    By bh8er
I bought this rather than use the lite version for its full keyboard functionality. Unfortunately it didn’t provide the ` key present on the UK Mac keyboard . The developer was very prompt in answering my queries but seemed to fail to understand what I wanted from the product. I can see it would be a good solution for some users but I ceased using it in favour of the Real VNC client.
  • Brilliant app. Just like using my pc

    By Stephinson-1
Love this app I can login to my server to run anything I need and to copy media around to my shared drives so I can watch it on my tv. I could not do without it
  • Just what it says in the tin

    By CynanX
Great software, shame about the bright green icon.
  • Half useful

    By Monk Bungler
Clicks on sub menus or in popup menus such as the selectors in iTunes 11 do not register. This makes the app useless half the time.
  • Rubbish

    By SamBean84
Free version seemed ok. Full version doesn't work properly - doesn't click I'm the right place and is generally clumsy and rubbish. Try logmein (free version) - it seems much better accept you have to leave it running on your mac/pc and create an account ... but it works nicely.
  • Important feature missing

    By Tombolow
Where is the ctrl+alt+del button?? I have the full version!
  • win some, lose some

    By Andy_in_Hawick
It's good to have cursor keys and the other modifier keys … and ever cmd-tab. How does the drag work? I can't get it to do anything! With the lite version, I could log on to a different account than is on the physical screen. This is really useful. This full version does not seem to allow this. The settings are the same, so I don't know what the difference is.
  • Does what I need it to

Over all its a good app. No problems when I upgraded to lion just used the lion log in settings, job done. It does seem to have trouble displaying the desktop when I have a second monitor connected to the computer though.
  • No good with Luon

    By LeeJD1
Used to be brill but since Lion has been unusable... Will not allow you to type your password. Give it a miss for now :(
  • Rubbish

    By matt.bone08
I can not believe that I've just paid £3.99 for this absolute SH*T stick to the free version as that worth it this should mo more than 69p The extras you get on top of the free version are rubbish and could be soooo much better...... DO NOT GET THIS ONLY GET FREE VERSION i wish someone told me that as i would love a refund
  • what about lion?

    By harry747
version 2.9 worked ok under snow leopard but is useless under lion. i only see the OSX login screen, and i can't even enter my password. so any lion users should wait for an update. Update: version 3 works again, but only when configured properly.
  • Great but maybe scrolling gesture?

    By teenflon5
Works good! I like the added WOL feature, but maybe a gesture for scrolling in the current window
  • Did you know ...

    By seraqua
There's a guy further down who uses this for controlling his computer "while in bed with his missus". Strange priorities some people have in life. Oh yeah, the app works well for me except for WOL.
  • Mr

    By cloudon
Was good, but the new interface is confusing and *can you please put the return key back on the keyboard where it belongs*. I use it with a Linux box, and I now have to alternate opening/closing the keyboard to get at the return key. Come on guys - basic stuff.
  • New update completely broken on iPad

    By Gray Simpson
Previously one of my most heavily used apps, the new version is incapable of configuring new servers - it flat out won't load or save the configurations. So now I can only connect to servers with old static IP addresses. Great job, guys.
