  • The Best Mobile Game Ever

    By MaCQu
I honestly believe that MM2 is the greatest mobile game there is. I loved MM1, so I didn’t even hesitate to spend £3.99 on MM2. I’m glad to say this lives up to, and exceeds, expectations! The game is definitely just an upgrade to MM1, but is new enough to keep it interesting and familiar enough to be super enjoyable. In Motorsport Manager, you control everything about your racing team, from your drivers and the young drivers program, to the engineers, parts and car. You negotiate contracts with your employees and choose how to upgrade your headquarters and cars. You get sponsorship offers in which you must decide who’s offering you more money in the time you’re looking for, and who’s bonuses are the best. Should you go for the big cash offer but a difficult objective, or play it safe? You don’t actually race the cars in this game - instead, you watch the race and dictate your drivers’ strategy. What kind of tyres should you use? What strategy should they race? Do you have enough fuel? When should you pit? This makes the race weekend really exciting and, to be honest, more fun than if you were the one doing the racing. You have to make on-the-fly racing decisions to outwit the other teams. I love when my driver is doing better than I expected in the race and I have to change my strategy to give him the best chance to win! I do agree the game should be a little harder. However, I chalk up my early successes in the game to my experience playing the MM1. Overall, this game is well worth the money as you will get hours and hours of fun in return. I enjoy this game more than many console games, so it really is a no-brainer, especially if you’re remotely interested in motorsport. You won’t regret buying this game.
  • Needs improvements to gameplay

I bought the first version and bought this version as soon as it came out. Loads of really good updates I like but ultimately this game has the same issues as the last one and I think they are as follows: Game desperately needs a Friday practice mode. There's no way of finding the best set up with the 3-4 laps you have in qualifying. Inevitably your 2 cars will be very different with different level drivers so you can never compare the two against each other and often there will be better set ups for each car and it just becomes frustrating trying to find your best set up for each car. The biggest issue I have with this game (and was biggest issue with the last version) is that as soon as you reach the top division and have the best car & driver the game instantly loses all appeal. There needs to be more of a challenge to the actual game play and more depth. I guarantee you'll be addicted for a week then never play it again. Another issue is the car development and testing seems bizarre! One season I spent the full 14mil on development and when it was tested it was awful with 65% tyre wear and fuel efficiency. The next year I spent 2mil on development and got 98% for both. It's just so random and the previous seasons of development have zero effect on it. Another one is, my number 1 driver always seems such a nightmare. I give him a completely new car before the first race of the season which is by far the number 1 car in the game yet by race 6 he's complaining about wanting new parts?! I mean wtf?! Also, I wish you could just fix your view of the race on one point. The way it constantly changes angles whenever you do anything in race just ends up give me a headache. I'd like to be able to set the viewing angle and zoom level etc before the race and it just stays like that. Anyway, it's good value still and I'd recommend it anyone into these kinda games as it's good fun to play for a week but don't expect to keep playing much longer than that once you've experience reaching number 1.
  • Great game but....

    By Haplic
This a great game particularly in the early/middle stages but as most reviews state, when you manage to get to the top that's it, you win constantly and by massive margins. You can run the whole race on hard tyres and still win by a country mile. You also end up with so much money and nothing to spend it on. Don't get me wrong, I love this game and have played it a lot but it's got boring now which would be sorted with a bit more competition.

Brilliant game!!! That is until you get to the top then it becomes boring This needs more stages or race/class types With more levels this game will be 5 start currently about 10-15 hours of game play then pointless
  • No replayability.

    By AJ4600
Good fun, until you get to the top. At which point that's it, you win, win and keep on winning which gets boring. Fast. This game has about 10 hours of play (albeit fun play) before it gets boring.
  • Poor compared to the PC version

    By Slannmage
None of the depth, cannot even see the cars on track... when I'm on an iPad Pro, I want full PC features.
  • Guesswork - not feedback

    By jonstokes
Seriously enjoying the game and it's vastly improved on the original. Much more depth in areas (parts, sponsors etc.) but it's baffling and frustrating to set-up cars in qualifying, and to negotiate with drivers, because in both cases the drivers say *nothing* to suggest what they want. The limited time in qualifying means you can be stuck with just testing one or two options per driver. It would be nice or helpful if they (or engineers) could hint at what's good or not ('losing time on the straights in Sector 1') - maybe even have it as a driver / engineer skill. Negotiations are the same as you basically have 2-3 chances to either overpay massively or just frustrate the driver.
  • This bug may be a show stopper

Middle of a rain race with no expected sunshine, everyone pits for slicks.
  • About the edit

    By Shane yt
Everything else fantastic. Now call me cheater but why can't we edit how much money the team has everything else is fine
  • Too easy to stay at the top...

    By Gus Bear
Love the game and enjoyed battling my way to the top. However, once you get there it is way too easy to stay there and win every race season after season even with rookie drivers. The money keeps rolling in with nothing meaningful to spend it on once you've upgraded your HQ, invested fully in next year's car and built a few parts to make your cars miles better than the opposition. Some variation is needed - maybe rule changes or track changes - or simply having better opponents coming through to challenge you.

If you got the first MM you MUST get this!!
  • Well thought out

    By gianpeppain
It's a very well thought out game, good difficulty, good racing, good managing. Overall an excellent game.
  • Come on guys

    By iZian
This would be a much better experience with practice sessions like PC. 3 day race weekend with stuff to learn. And option to run longer races than just a handful of laps. I feel I spend as much time trying to dodge the mafia kidnapping my drivers as I do in the races.
  • Fantastic

Even Murray Walker would love this game. GO GO GO!
  • Would Be Great Without The Constant Crashes

    By Quicksilver01uk
Played the heck out of the first version of this game and can see the potential fir the second version if it wasn't for the crippling app crashes - A race finishes: crash, qualifying ends: crash, some random info screen: crash. So my race results aren't always saved and I have to race again! Please fix! Running on iPad Air 64Gb with latest iOS.

Fantastic game. Everything about this game is fantastic. It would be nice if, on the editor, we could change the ability of the teams but this isn't a big deal. The only issue that I have found is that the manager statistics are wrong. I'm not sure what has happened but, on my career, the claims a very much incorrect. Hopefully this is an easy fix. Apart from that MM Mobile 2 is definitely the best mobile racing management game out there. **UPDATED**: I have found an issue in the career mode. (I am running on an iPhone 6.) I am in the WMC and each race weekend seems to simulate all contracts as if it were 3 or 4 weeks. This means that I loose my engineers if I'm not careful, the drivers demand all manner of things 4x as often and the sponsors run out much quicker; replacing them with much worse deals even though my performance as increased and marketability is constant. (At the start of the game I edited most drivers and teams but haven't used the editor since - not sure if this helps or not.) I feel that this needs to be fixed swiftly as it ruins the game. A big thanks to Playsport for fixing the earlier issues without too much delay.
  • Few crashes

    By TigerGW
Be aware that the game crashes once in awhile (quite annoyed). But gameplay is awesome. love it!
  • Hits a nice sweet spot between MM1 and MM Desktop

    By ZephyrSB
MM1 a little too barebones? Bewildered by all the options in MM desktop? MM2 updates the visuals, taking its cue from the desktop version, while keeping the accessibility of the mobile version. A great midpoint just right for on the go F1 and motorsport fans.
