By This nickname system is broken
As game that requires no previous knowledge of the Kingdom Hearts Lore it’s a fantastic starting point for those curious about the saga. It’s easy to grasp and it’s difficulty doesn’t spike harshly and you do not need to pay a penny to get to the end of it. The combat is surprisingly effective using medals to attack each one with varying designs and abilities, there are infinite possibilities. The storyline is great but requires you to compete a lot of quests, however the quests are always fun and rewarding to complete, granting you numerous medals in which to power up or to sell.
I think those new or those already accustomed to Kingdom hearts would love this game. It won’t force you into anything it’s entirely at your own pace.
The only downside is the prices of the gems (premium currency) however this is easily avoided via log in bonuses and events that run occasionally.
In all this game is fantastic.
An Honest Review
Let me start by saying that this is a 3-stat game PURELY because I have been an avid follower of the KH series since it began.
Whilst the idea of this game is pretty fun and, indeed, some of the levels and individualities of the game are enjoyable, they simply don’t mask the reality that this game is unacceptably flawed.
Character levelling does nothing to save you against the barrage of near-death-dealing attacks from enemies who, you’d have thought, should cause less damage and/or have less god-like abilities when they’re a lower level to you. But no. SE seems to have overlooked this detail, and so the advantage of battle doesn’t go to anyone other than the enemy.
As an example (no spoilers intended), it took my character an unexaggerated month to level up by 1 level (from 207 to 208) despite battling every day and at every opportunity through the day, AP depending. Despite being such a high level and so far into this game, it seems I was still not worthy enough to beat a menacing maid and her two cats at level 160 - I stress, again, their GOD-LIKE ABILITIES.
On top of this, a personal issue also flows in with the difficulty of the challenges alongside and, with that, comes the Org-XIII events.
Putting aside the (slight) ease I had in obtaining Marluxia’s wig-do, NONE of the other members when their events came on have come anywhere close to being feasible for players to both complete the challenge with a chance of winning the prize, and actually enjoying the level they’ve just played. It’s ridiculous.
Again, I hold hope for the series which is why this review stands on the backs of the legs of 3 star - but, ultimately, this app needed off of my iPhone. The makers need to properly look at this game and recognise the issues players must be having (because good Lord, it can’t just be me) and how the difficulty seems to be set for only the ones who’ve clung on long enough and wasted all of their time and energy trying to get the right medals and the right level to proceed.

If you love the characters and story of the Kingdom Hearts series then you will love this game!
It’s simple yet amazing combat system is easily used by even the challenged players. Over all love the game, very addicting too :)
Won’t let me play after an update
By Jason 'Artaelian' B
Not sure what the update did. But now it just tells me to go install the update to play, even though I did. Epic Fail. Will change the review maybe if this gets fixed.
Good fun but not free to play friendly
Play the JP version instead as they are more welcoming to Free to play users who don't want to spent £15 a week just to power etc / don't spend ridiculous amounts on jewels.
I don't pay to play because I honestly can't afford it so I'm stuck constantly struggling to keep up and benefit from taking part in events etc I play the JP version as well and I prefer it far more.
What would have been a glowing review.
Upon installing the game I was thrilled, the music was a perfect nostalgic memory of my youth and the gameplay was simple but somewhat strategically challenging. I got friends playing with me and we reconnected in a way we haven't in a while, speaking more - great huh?
Until I developed a problem that has inhibited me from going to work, therefore losing money and spending every penny I have on prescriptions. So with no money I have ended up with a 99p charge that didn't come out of my account for iTunes and therefore cannot update the game.
Now for many games this wouldn't be a problem; but for a game that FORCES you to update before you can play again then the problem is here. I get updates are important, but to be restricted from playing a game that would have had full five stars just because I fell into a stroke of bad luck doesn't leave me with much interest in continuing anymore. Maybe I will; but knowing myself by the time the week has passed and I can play again I will have found something that will not stop me from playing just because I can't update a few little bug fixes I never experienced to begin with.
A shame really; because the game was set to be a firm favourite. Guess I'll go back to games that I can actually play without restrictions.
It won't update
Poor treatment of players
If you haven't started playing this game, don't. If you must, play the Japanese version. The players get treated much better. You won't get your money's worth if you spend on the global version, but if you don't spend you'll be frustrated at your limitations within the game. SENA, you need to change.
Game is trash. Play the Japanese version.
By Chode that got away
Trust me, when you are decently far into this game you will understand. SE doesn't care about the players, they have shown this multiple times on how the manage banners, jewels and events. I spent money on this game. But no more, SE are just out for your money. Avoid this game or play the Japanese version where you don't need to spend money and still have a fun time playing.
Just bad. Pay to win all the way. Not even rewarding to pay.
Fun game, but we are treated so badly compared to Japan.
I enjoy the game. But the business practises are horrible. Don't get sucked in.
The app never used to crash until this update, but now I can't finish a level. Please fix, I love the game when it works!
I really love this game!
It took a while to download but the wait was worth it.
I love the character customisation options and everything is so good!
Good job Square!
Love anything kingdom hearts! Another great addition
I love this game and have played it for over a year. It recently crashed and now I can't get passed the Disney load up screen. I have tried restarting my phone and redownloading the game although it hasn't worked. I can't send a support ticket as it asks for my game ID but I can't get on the find to find out my ID!
Didnt get to play
Downloaded app. Opened and did more downloads. Too over 1hr to download and hadn't moved off (1/8) so scrapped it. Very disappointing.
I was really looking forward to playing this game as I am a huge fan of KH but when I open the game, it tells me a server error has occurred. It did the same when I installed it on to my mothers phone too. Very disappointed. I will happily give more stars if I was able to play
Please please please find a way to compress the space taken up, I had to delete everything on my phone just to play this.
