  • Uninspiring

I bought this for my 15 year old boy, as he likes music and I thought it would get him to revise. Within hours he handed me the phone back, he thought the music was awful and lyrics just as bad. Tried it for myself, I have to agree, it's just some reading/rapping notes over a generic backing track, not even an attempt to rhyme the words to make them memorable. I understand the concept and I think it could work, but this app or the songs don't cut it.

I think it's a great idea. Killing two birds with one stone. Getting my kids listening to music they like but with substance.
  • Interesting, but not worth it and a lot needs to be improved

This app has a lot of potential. It is a unique idea that I think would definitely help students learn. On the other hand, I think that the topics are too simple, and there's too much information crammed into one topic, which makes it really not worth paying £0.99 per session, as you could buy a whole revision guide for £10 and revise the whole subject. In my opinion, I would divide the existing topics into smaller sections and work on that. In addition, I'd change the style of the reading, female speaker reads too fast and it makes it impossible to understand. On the other hand, the male speakers have an outgoing voice and draw a lot of attention, which is a good advantage. Lastly, the best thing to do would be to change the speed of the beat and reading in general, I'd say reduce it to 95BPM, as it would be like 90s rap and would be easier to memorise. The beats would be more easy to read along, as they won't have those annoying effects on them.

Anything to help is great! Login with FB was fine and 99p per topic isn't too bad - I'd rather pay that than loads of adverts - why wouldn't the creator be paid ?
  • Sooo annoying

I actually think this app is a joke , yes the information on the tracks is useful ( even though it's easily sourced on the internet ) but that background music and repetitive lines are just annoying and meaningless it gives me a headache. Half the tracks you have to pay for and the free ones are irritating. It's a waste of time!
  • Thought it would be good but disappointed me

  • Is this app a joke??

    1. You can't even listen to all the "songs" because you have to pay for 70% of them. For example, the English literature ones, the only free ones are Macbeth; I don't study Macbeth. I'm studying Romeo and Juliet, but I can't watch them because I have to pay for it and tbh idek what it will sound like so why would I pay for it? 2. Idk if it's just me but all I head is some background music and a guy and girl just talking on top of it. Obviously I'm not expecting it to be a banging song, but like, because it doesn't match with the music in the background, it doesn't stay in your head, it's not flowy and there's just too much information going into the song. Sorry, it's a good idea; maybe it will be useful for somebody else??...

It costs 99p to buy every topic you want to learn that isn't given for free and you will find that every topic you actually want to study you have to buy!!

For a student like me, it is absolutely useful. It not only has the core syllabus, but also has test prep so I can become more and more familiar with the official test.

  • The ideas there.

The idea is there however I wish that they had specific tracks for the exam board that you are taking e.g AQA. I think it would would allow there to be more of a concentrated revision source.
  • Ok-ish

It's a good idea but because it raps at some points it's quite hard to understand the lyrics. Also it isn't exam board specific so for example my English paper is on Animal Farm but the app doesn't have that. Another thing is you have to pay for some topics in subjects which is annoying because I'm studying Charge of the light brigade poem but I have to pay for it. A good idea, could do with a few improvements.
