Asana Rebel: Yoga and Fitness Reviews

  • Falsely advertised to men

    By Johnboy82
This app was advertised on Facebook with a video of a toned man doing great yoga poses. When I downloaded the app it was only women included in the videos and as a man I don’t flex quite the same way. It’s not representative of what men can achieve so it doesn’t encourage men to stick with it. I don’t aspire to be a Size Zero female model, I’m afraid. I don’t feel many woman would buy what is advertised as a gender-neutral fitness app and then continue with it if it only portrayed what men could do.
  • I like yoga!

    By Beautie88
I have been using the free version, because it too expensive to buy it. I can easy follow the workout. But for those who can't it need a replay so they can watch it and then do it again. I like yoga but on this app it be nice to see more routines, it is sort of different each day but can very similarly.
  • Enjoying the yoga... but

    By GymNoob
This is a great addition to my gym schedule but is yoga only for women? I don’t know as I’m new to it but the read up says “We are changing the way that women work out and stay healthy”... (there is a male selection in the settings however) would be cool if the yoga app was non-gender specific though 🧘‍♀️ 🧘‍♂️ peace & love ✌🏼
  • Love it💞

    By Higgi87
Been using this app for some time now and have really been enjoying using it. The sessions are great and show everything in detail as she says a quick preview and then start. I’ve got the years subscription and it’s awesome never using another yoga app again 🧘🏼‍♀️😍
  • Style over substance?

    By Laoise17
I really like the style of this app but am not sure about its content. I am considering changing from a similar app which I have subscribed to for the past year. I like the look and feel of Asana Rebel and I really like the way they explain the benefits of each exercise. However, having tried some of the free workouts, there are a few things putting me off. No indication of level or how many intermediate and advanced workouts are included for the subscription. The voice giving verbal instructions has a lovely tone, however there is a lot missing from instructions, such as how or when to breathe and minor adjustments to make sure your stance or posture is correct. I like the optional preview to each exercise, however there is no clear verbal indication when the preview ends and the exercise begins. Can you turn off or vary the background music? It already drove me nuts after 3 exercises. I am looking for more advanced exercises and workshops in a range of different yoga styles and more motivating teachers.
  • Love it! But.....

    By feeling fit at 50
I love this app, the coach workouts are great, really varied and I feel motivated to follow them religiously. I love the style of the workouts and after 6 weeks I feel much more flexible, strong and toned. I have recommended this app to friends. Now my but... I don’t seem to be able to access the downloads without the internet and this is really important to me as I want to continue to workout when away. This is a major let down which I hope they can sort soon. It’s the only reason I did not give a 5 star rate. I would still say give it a go, for me right now it’s a perfect way to exercise.
  • Excellent app

Excellent app, very useful. Top rated Would be useful to join different programs.
  • Waste of money

    By poll85
I don’t really leave reviews but I got so frustrated with this app. I tried to use the free version and found it glitchy. I would have to stop and start the workout I wanted to do to try and sync my watch to it as it was just trying to play the daily workout which done nothing but confuse it. It even cut out a few times half way through a workout and would then start from the beginning. I decided to subscribe for three months hoping that unlocking everything might mean the app runs better but no still all the same problems which in the end meant I only ever completed 2 workouts according the the app. I still have the app until jan but it’s so frustrating I won’t be using it again and feel like I got nothing for the 3 months I paid for.
  • Easy to Use

    By Tiger_Tuff_CF
Well organised, lots of different workouts to accomplish. Easy to use and a good workout if you're always on the move!
  • Good for a busy lifestyle - but they update too much

    By Rosiemarsh187
I use this app most of the time. It’s great for people with a busy lifestyle who want to fit in a great workout before work or a wind down at the end of the day. I loved this app so much a few months ago, although since they rebranded and have updated (ALOT) in the last couple of months, it has become glitchier, annoying changes has been made and isn’t as great as it used to be. If you really are looking for a good workout, great yoga poses.. give it ago. Just be patient with it.
  • Very good workout

    By New feet
I have been using this app for about 5 months now and i can see the difference it is making. I purchased the annual subscription which I personally think is very reasonable. The 30 minute programmes are effective and because the different exercises take between 3-4 minutes before it changes you don’t get bored. There are previews at the beginning which you can watch before you exercise and when you are more used to it you can turn them off. I’m 55 years old and am definitely more supple and stronger for following these exercises. I would like more choice of music as that’s the only thing I’m tiring of!!
  • Heaven

I always thought yours Is this still availableas a nice easy and gentle exercise for stretching and relaxing... How wrong I was! loved my first experience twenty minutes of pure sweat! Had to wait a few days to get back to it tho as I couldn’t really walk properly for like three days can’t wait to get into it ☺️
  • Pleasant exercise

    By Snowylibrarian
Nice enough exercise but I have yet to see the fat burning effects promised
  • Hit & miss

    By thefriendlyparrot
Been using the free version doing daily featured exercises and it’s been very hit and miss. Today’s daily flow for instance, some of the poses are done on your back looking up, how are you supposed to follow it with no previews? Audio instructions are certainly not enough to follow the flow without looking at the screen. I really like strength and stamina oriented flows, they are challenging and engage the whole body in a short period of time. However, doing balancing or stretching poses in quick succession is utterly pointless, it doesn’t do anything at all. Sometimes, the pacing of some of the flows is too fast and it’s difficult to match the breathing to it. It’s still one of the better fitness apps I’ve tried, but I usually end up having to supplement my workout with a few proper yoga poses and some slow stretching. I’ll keep using it, but from what I’ve seen so far, it’s not worth $60/year.

Do love the workouts but now for second time screen is black and cannot access app despite paying over £50. Have turned phone off, gone in via App Store and waited. Am furious as waiting to workout😤.
