Download or reviews of Absolute Tides application.

Displays officially licenced UKHO tidal data on an annual basis without ever needing to go online. The tidal data is contained in our annual data plugins and must be purchased using in-app purchases. Once you have purchased the data, this app will allow you to view UKHO standard port tides up to a year in advance. The app will also calculate secondary port tides using its own built in offsets. (The 'UK data 2016' IAP contains data for 38 primary ports and over 500 secondary ports, see our website for more details on coverage) The main view is an 'At a glance' table view of each month's tides and tidal ranges. Selecting an entry will display an easy to use daily chart view showing the tide height for any time of day and a tidal stream view showing tidal direction and speed at hourly intervals. The Weather section downloads and displays the current Met Office Inshore Forecast. Absolute Tides also makes anchoring easy by calculating the maximum and minimum tides beween the current time and any selected future date/time. Note: This application will NOT work without at least one of our tidal data in-app purchases being installed. Please check that the tide data you want is available before downloading this app. The small print: For leisure use only. Heights of tides can vary from those predicted depending on the prevailing weather conditions. All data is given in good faith and is believed to be correct but we accept no responsibility for any consequential loss or damage arising from use of this application. Secondary port data calculated using offsets will be less accurate than the UKHO standard port data. This app is neither affiliated to nor endorsed by the Met Office.

St. Peter port now works. Five star for best tidal app for Apple devices
  • Not bad at all!

    By Enjomarty
Easy to use and with graphs, basic tidal charts and forecasts - really good app for recreational boating folk.
  • Watch

    By Granitic8
I bought this because it was Apple Watch compatible - it is not - you cannot get the ride into the watch
  • Excellent tide app

    By Tina inverarnie
Very good app this, use it all the time when sailing.
  • Excellent

    By Tramplite
Really pleased with this app. Well laid out and easy to use it has all the features I want and none I don't, expect... it really needs a map showing the location of the ports and secondary ports because if you're not familiar with an area knowing which to choose is difficult. Hopefully that can be added.
  • Beware

    By thought for the day
The timings on the I phone app and an I pad app are an hour out of sinc. As I write, its 07.37 in uk but the I phone app thinks it's currently 06.37. Much danger of going aground

  • No data visible for 2017.

    By captaincareful
Have just paid to download 2017 tides but there is no data available. Complete waste of money.
  • Can't obtain 2017 times

    By Timcoltd
Cannot obtain the 2017 tides times. Won't go past dec 2016
  • Was 5* now 1*

    By Your firsthand
This was a great app when I first bought it. Now I've bought the 2017 tide tables but I can't get past December 2016! Deleted the old data, confirmed 2017 downloaded ok but still not working. No contact info on the developer page. Feel like I just got ripped off. Anyone help?
  • Tide easy

    By Grateful skipper
A really useful app, so simple and quick to use, forget calculating, just drag your finger. Brilliant.
  • Finally....a tide predictor which is perfect!

    By Guernsey AJ
I run a SUP school in Guernsey and after my last app stopped working I've tried another 6 apps that have been rubbish. This app is perfect. Accurate and easy to use....a must buy for anyone on the water.
  • Just what the Skipper ordered

    By Saltie Sailor
This an excellent app saves my having to work clearance required to enter ports and over several local shallows. The keel offset is very handy, as are the tidal streams the ability to move forward and backwards over HW helps greatly with passage planning and saves on a lot bits of paper fouling up my chart table. App is easy to use but would like to see some type PDF file with user guide 5 stars from me.
  • Small detail

    By Nic Spiers
Excellent program. Will be great to help our Sea Scouts understand tides. One small omission though, we could do with sunrise and sunset on the graph. Sailing in early evenings, the time of sunset is very important to us being off the water on time.
  • Error in use

    By Madboater
Using the is program for some time but of late it has been locking up on Bristol port not allowing me to change my port for another As I use this for tides in and around our life boat station would hope there's an update soon to fix it
  • Not fully working?

    By belsa
Would be a fab app if all the ports were working...we are based in bursledon & I can get Southampton but when I scroll down the sub menu for bursledon it just kicks me out of the app???......also daylight saving would be useful as at the moment you have to remember to add an hour to the tide times.
  • Not displaying secondary port correctly

    By Car Guy48
Despite having selected Cargreen as a favourite port, it displays Avonmouth data instead. Interesting, of course, but absolutely useless to me!
  • Best tides app by far

    By Marekzar
Excellent app. Easy to access tidal information and the ability to adjust for your own boat parameters is fantastic. Never get stranded by the tides again!!
